| After winning the European Footballer of the Year award, Kaka has been voted as the Player of the Year for 2007 by World Soccer magzine. He has won 52.8 percent of the votes, a clear leading over Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Meanwhile, he also becomes the second player whose vote has exceeded about 50 percent of the votes. The only other player to do so was France's Michel Platini in 1984. In addition, Messi was awarded as the young player of the Year for the second time, with with Arsenal and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas the runner-up and Cristiano Ronaldo third. Ferguson was awarded as the manager of the Year, leading ahead of Tottenham manager Juande Ramos and Ancelotti. For the best team, Iraq ranks as the first place. AC Mlian were second and Sevilla third. Note: If Kaka was awarded as FIFA's Player of the Year, he would become the real winner of 'Grand Slams'. |
