How to reach the great wall from Beijing

GUESTSARA Im planning to go to Badaling Great Wall mid Jan 2014. 2 of us only. I know its very cold. Transport during winter is normal ? Is it advisable to get bus or private taxi ? What is the recomended clothing at this area ? Pls help.

I suggest you take No.919 or 877 bus from Deshengmen to visit Badaling. The buses are still operated in winter. It takes 1 to1.5 hours. It might snow during that time. Winter clothes like down jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, warm pants are needed.
