"The dollar could not remain someone else's problem and suggesting that recent monetary disarray could morph into economic war in which we would all be its victims." This is said by Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president. It is the fact that dollar has been depreciating for a while. It is said that dollar has declined 41% against euro. This really made Jean-Claude Trichet, European Central Bank president very angry. He said that recent exchange rate fluctuation was drastic and abrupt and this was never welcome.

Judging by their words, the dollar decline has reached the limit that we could bear. Will it keep declining? Will Sarkozy's words come true---an economic war will be triggered by exchange rate fluctuation?

When all goes fine, all can be friends together. When all goes wrong, there is not friendship any more. Sarkozy´s words are true already.
The most aggressive country in that "war" has always been US. It has always had more to loose than others.
Times are changing, EU and China will become, if not already have, equal in economic battle. Therefore the war may develope fast and make us all victims, like he said.
