I am uncertain about what the triggering factors are. Is it because of the disputable issue on the sovereignty of Xisha Islands? The relation between Vietnam and China has always been dramatic. In 1960s, China supported Vietnam in the Vietnam War. After the war, they had a war. Vietnam was defeated. How do you view the Sino-Vietnam tie? Why were they so close at a time, and then were so hostile？
