![]() | Do you like bargaining when you go shopping? If so, how about the result of your bargaining? You buy the goods at a very low price, then you must be a good negotiator. Generally speaking, women prefer bargaining and they are good at. I have a friend who have a very odd experience. Everytime he tries to persuade the sellers to sell the goods at a low price, he ends up with being persuaded by the sellers. Once or twice, he bought the goods at a higher price that that of the sellers innitially quoted. This is unbelievable, isn't it? but it is real. For those who are not good at bargaining, you' d better not bargain at all, buy the goods at the initailly quoted price. Be careful, do not let the sellers persuade you to buy the goods at a higher price. LOL. |

![]() | I don't like, as I'm not good at bargaining. I always give a higher price for which my friends always tease me... |

![]() | There’s hardly any place in America that I can shop and bargain except in garage sales, and I never bought any stuff from garage sales. The only time I can bargain is if I am traveling. But the thing is I only buy souvenirs for myself, my family and friends when I travel. I travel to see places and people, not to do some big shopping really. On those few occasions; I’m able to use my bargaining skills and I usually end up getting them for a much lower quoted price. ^_^ |

![]() | As a man, I am poor at bargaining. That is the reason I go to supermarket frequently. There I needn't bargain since everything has its price tag. But I do see some guys who are good at bargaining and really admire their bargaining skill. |

![]() | I love to negotiate on anything really, but as SHESGOTTOBE mentioned, there is rarely any place that you can go where it is possible to negotiate prices in America. I have a friend who's father is sort of the king of auto negotiating. Usually most car dealerships here in California have a complementary drink and snack bar that you can help yourself to when signing paperwork, he takes advantage of this by negotiating for 3 HOURS!! I really do envy those who are able to negotiate efficiently as I am all about the quickness and I don;t last longer than 40 minutes at the bargaining table when I bought a car. |

![]() | I love bargaining in China. ...but I joke, roll my eyes, laugh and tease when I am bargaining; I do not enjoy the hard confrontational bargaining I sometimes see...but then I probably do not understand that game. |

![]() | I'm hopeless at bargaining, the way I see it, it's already much cheaper than I can buy back in the UK but I know Jing will do any bargaining for me, I think a pretty face will always win the day. Alan |

![]() | No I hate it. One reason is that I can always afford the first price and some small traders are relatively poor - how can I in good conscience drive a hard bargain. I am embarrassed when friends drive a hard bargain on my behalf such as shorts for 25 rmb rather than the 65 rmb first asked. On the other hand I don't like to pay too much over the odds. On my own I seek some discount where it seems applicable, but don't fight too hard. Contrarily, in Australia, a Chinese friend wanted 5 quite expensive sweaters from a tourist shop to take home. She asked what price and was told 5 times the normal price: no discount, "we don't do that here"....and they sold none and got zero profit, not very clever business. |
