Those who have watched Lust Caution must remember this scene when Tony Leung and Tang Wei went back to the store to take her ring. Actually, she just wanted to 'trap' Leung in the store so that her comrades could come and kill him. Before her comrades came in, Tang said to Leung that the ring must be worth a lot of money. Leung just replied that he didn't care how much it was. What he cared about was that it was she who wore the ring. Tang was moved and just told Leung to run away. Finally, her comrades and her were all killed secretly.

Does the diamond ring (especially the big one) have magic power to 'conquer' a woman? Do all women love luxurious diamond rings?

How about this one? It was made by CHANNEL.

GUEST31314 I think many women secretly want to be pampered by their man. Since many women these days are working, they can buy themselves necessities, but it's the luxuries that they won't buy for themselves. So they like the guy to buy "not something she needs, but something she wants" like a diamond.

When it comes to the diamond, it is just a symbol of eternity, something that is unbreakable, and representative of the committment the man will make to love the woman in the future. it is not the diamond itself that is the most important thing, but rather the thought he puts into choosing the right one, and that he gave me something that will last forever.

Not that it matters, but personally, I believe diamonds are overrated. I don’t really understand why they are sought after. No matter how I look at it, it’s just a rock. It’s not really useful except for industrial applications, like cutting glass, etc. In fact, I am beginning to dislike it so much for all the superficialities it is spreading and the untold suffering it’s bringing to the many people in Africa. I also don’t understand how it could be seen as a measure or even symbol of one's love. Ah well, there are a lot of mysteries in this world that I don’t understand so that’s nothing new. ^_^”

So does that mean She, that when Mister right drops to one knee and presents you with a ring with a diamond on it you will reject it?

Why does he need to drop on his knee? I might not want the diamond but I might want him. LOL! By the way, is it really mandatory to have a diamond ring when proposing??? I'm scratching my head here.

Of course, women love jewelry. If you want to win over a girl's heart, buy her a diamond ring.
Shesgottobe, it is not mandatory but customary to have a diamond ring when proposing.

Leopold, generally, when you are proposing to a girl, it means she’s already your girlfriend for some time, meaning you’ve already won her heart long before you even presented the diamond ring. To say that you can win a girl’s heart by giving her a diamond ring is inaccurate. There are a lot of instances where a diamond ring was presented but the girl still rejected the guy. Wouldn’t it be pretty scary when you suddenly “won” over a girls’ heart that never cared about you just because you gave her a diamond ring? O_o

GUEST17181 well, there is another reason. guys don't like to spend their money on something that's not worth it. So if they buy you a diamond ring, that means they think you are worth it.

Well, I frequently buy something that I needn't. When I see them, I think they are so beautiful so that I buy them. Getting back home, I regret because I find that it is no use. I bought a small blue bag and it was very pretty. However, I never use it because I don't know what I should put in that bag.
