| I find the most difficult difference is in the use of manners. I have been raised to be very polite, always to say "Please" and "Thankyou". In Chinese if you say 谢谢 to often it may upset some people. Or they say 不用谢。 I find it difficult not to want to say thankyou. I can't understand how I can be polite in Chinese?? |

| In my experience, conversations with a Chinese person often leave me without enough information to fill-in the blanks. Americans often provide "too much information." Ask them how they are doing...and they might give you all the details of the argument they had with their wife last night. :-) |

| I think there is a lot of grammar differences because of literal translations, I see a lot of "how do you think?" on these forums when it should be "what do you think?" Also as an Englishman I notice a lot of Americanised terms used so you have a mix of English and American. Before anyone jumps on me, yes there is a difference. Americans speak American and English speak English. |
