Today is La Ba Festival. Do you ever hear of it before? It falls on December 8th on lunar calendar. It is said that this festival is set to celebrate Sakyamuni culitvated Buddhism. When La Ba festival comes, the Spring festival is coming. To celebrate La Ba festival, people usually make La Ba congee. Have you ever tasted it before? If not, just learn to make it on your own.

Materials: sticky rice, brown rice, red date, peanut, red bean, raisin, chestnut and sesame. Also you can add walnut, longan, pinenut and lotus seed.

The materials are somewhat different in different regions. Thus, La Ba congees are also different. Just have a look at it.
