![]() | According to sources, a doctor at the People’s University of China worked in a night club in Shenzhen in order to finish his graduating dissertation. His thesis is about the masculinity of male pimp. He concealed himself by finding a position in the night club and spent over 40,000 yuan in the two months. Finally, he finished his dissertation for Doctor’s degree. This issue generates a controversy: should a doctor hide himself in a night club just for his dissertation? The reason is that the doctor might have worked as a pimp? The doctor denies that he has ever worked as a pimp, but someone has charged him of that behavior. Another group of people who supported the doctor said that, even if the doctor has done something improper in the night club, he is still respectable because he sacrificed his personal interests for the sake of academic research. What do you think? |

![]() | This is much like this ethical question: A beautiful woman spy has sex with the old, fat and ugly leader of a big corporation to steal corporate secrets. Is she a prostitute or a spy? |

![]() | LOL! Then the doctor knows first hand what he is talking about in his dissertation. I bet he can defend it with vigor. With so subjects to choose from, I wonder why he chose this one. Then again, why not? ^_^” He probably subscribe to the adage, to catch a thief, you have to think like one hehe… ^_^” |

![]() | The doctor is studious. A Chinese adage: no survey, no rights to say. I am thinking a scenario: if a female doctor wants to write a thesis on the subjet of the hardship of prostitutes, is she have to experience it by herself? Should she sacrifice her dignity for the sake of academic research? |
