guest23188 I plan to travel during the first half of march and I would like to know the price of flight tickets from Beijing to Chengdu and from Lhasa to Kunming. I would also like to know if i can purchase permits for Lhasa on the same day when I reach Chengdu.

It would be advisable to contact a guesthouse in Chengdu beforehand, they need more than a day to process. Try Sim's (http://www.gogosc.com).
