Jimmy,
When I travel by plane or long distance train I have a numbered seat as other do so their fighting to get in or on does confuses me a little. When I travel on the Beijing underground, which is very good, I can catch the next train which will come along in a few minutes.
I just refuse to push and shove. Perhaps naïve, but my personnel dignity is worth more than that.
Dodger.

Right, Dodger. To avoid being pushed or shoved, I usually buy my train ticket as early as possible. If I need to catch a bus, I usually get up and go out early to avoid rush hour and crowds. If this bus is full of people, I will wait for another. Don't worry because time is enough.
