Snowing anywhere??????????

This afternoon we experienced our first light flurry of SNOW. Highly unusual but it has been exceptionally cold this year.

Chengdu had snow as well earlier this week

I had been watching for some time from my window and thought it was only light rain but on closer inspection discovered it was in fact SNOW.

It's cold, cold, cold!!!!!!!!!

This is the first time it's snowed in Chongqing since the early nineties I am told.

Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuhan - all large cities in the Yangtze River valley all have recent heavy snow falls for cities that don't generally get snow.

Been snowing here again all morning and it's been good to see and teach the kids the English with REAL SNOW outside instead of large imitation snowflakes which are hanging around the room.

Yes, snowing in Zhejiang, as Susan says. In fact this morning it's white everywhere, must be quite a few cms. First time I've seen snow here in 2 years.

Will go out and take photos later :)
