![]() | Did you hear Sorbs and their Bird Wedding ceremony? Sorbs live in the east of Germany. According to their local legend, the Sorb children put food out for the birds in the forest every winter. When the Spring comes, birds treat those children with candies. To say 'Thank you' to these birds, the Sorb children dress in traditional wedding costumes, go go and take part in special processions to celebrate the wedding of the birds, or Vogelhochzeit. Very interesting, right? Look at the boy and ther girl in the photo. They are only two years old. How do you feel if you were in that photo? ![]() |
