I see on TV that many people are being pushed out of their home to make way for new buildings ready for the olympics, obviously there will be thousands of people arriving to stay for the games.

My question is this, what will happen to the buildings after the games?
will the people forced out be rehoused in the new buildings?

Well, DAVEC. For newly-established stadiums, for example, water cube, they will be still in use after the Olympic Games. As I know, some stadiums for Olympic Games are in colleges. After the Olympic Games, thell will be open to college students. This idea is perfect. For Olympic villages, some are temporary and will be torn down after Olympic Games.

As far as I am concern, the houses in Olympic villages will be distributed to the nearby colleges and universities to serve as dormitories for students. The demolishment of old residences has ever been a big problem since at the inception period, a lot of residents were reluctant to move out. The rehousing project did not goes smoothly. Anyhow, they were relocated. I can't foresee a greatly possibility for them to be rehoused in the new buildings, but I am not sure. Don't hurry! We will see the results with our own eyes in a few months. Time travels vey fast!
