Our tentative itinerary: Arrive Depart City May 18 May 21 Beijing May 21 May 23 Xian May 23 May 25 Guilin May 25 May 27 Yangshuo May 27 May 29 Sanya May 29 May 31 Shanghai In your China travel experiences, which approach (below) was more economical? a. self-booking of airline/hotel reservations, or b. a travel agency books airline/hotel reservations. I've reviewed many internet travel agency sites. Have you had a positive experience with a specific travel agency which offers independent travel bookings? (Private email to me is welcome!) We haven't completely "ruled out" joining a tour, but independent travel does have its positive aspects. Thank you! Zeph
