I am just wanting to know how to travel from hanoi to shanghai by train or bus and what are the best websites to get the information from. I will be travelling in april. I have worked out coming from Ho chi minh city to hanoi but the shanghai part i am not sure. I have found that i can get from hanoi to kumming is this the only way i can get a conntection from kumming to another part on the way to shanghai. I would appreciate any heklp and advice i can get. Thanks

You can catch a bus from North Vietnam (is that Ho Chi Minh City - sorry I forget the city names in Vnam) to Nanning in Gaungxi Province. From there you can catch a train to Shanghai. Look at the top of this site and you will see a train tab - you can find out train details there.

From Nanning, catch a train or fly to Shanghai.
