GUEST88247 I moved to Shanghai for 3 years from 2006 to2009 and electrical items work except TV that couldn't pick up sound,DVD format is different and obviously the radio didn't work.

China does not have a immigration scheme. You cannot simply move to and live in China without an appropriate visa. (Tourist, working, student etc.). The only way you could stay would be to get married, but even then you need to renew the visa annually and you cannot legally work.

GUEST54207 Have read these posts with interest. Am getting married to my beautiful Chinese fiancee in 5 weeks. planning to spend 2 years in UK then moving to Tianjin or possibly Chengdu. I love China and am very much looking forward to building a new life with Ying there in the future.

GUEST15201 i was wondering if the original poster to this thread ever went to china, i have applied for a job in china, obviously one has to wait and see, however if anybody is interested in conversing then please let me know. I work in media, and from what i have read so far visas are pretty much straight forward and its a yearly think, however have to get the job first, but i thought it would be nice to make some new friends, so far i have lived in Italy, Poland, Spain, UK of course plus have spent time in australia, usa, dubai, beirut, france, morroco and south africa, greetings to you all and thanks.
