February 6th is the 50th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster

This is where 8 Manchester United players died as mentioned in an earlier thread where I talked about about Duncan Edwards.
On Sunday, Man Utd play Man City, both teams will wear a special kit to mark the occasion.
Hopefully both sets of supporters observe the minute silence in tribute of those who lost their lives.

Alan, I didn't watch that match on Sunday. Who won that match? We should pay tribute to those footballers who lost their lives too early.

HI Kevin.
It was a 2-1 win to Man City.
I didn't see the game myself as I was too ill to go and watch it in the pub.

Thanks, Alan. It is reported taht C Ronaldo was fined 8000 pounds for sending four text messages on training ground. It is said that Manchester United has a rule that all footballers should keep their cellphones in change room druing training. A text message worth 2000 pounds. Too expensive!

I bet he doesn't make that mistake again, having said it's peanuts to him.

Yes, Alan. Perhaps, these are the most expensive text messages in the world. Although 8000 pounds was very little for him, I also think he won't do this again.
