When will you arrive at Pudong airport? I am afraid that it will be inconvenient if you arrive at late night.

You need get to Hongqiao Railway Station to take D trains to Ningbo. The last D train leaves at 17:45.

Pudong airport to Hongqiao Railway Station:
1 take airport shuttle bus line 1 to Hongqiao Airport (CNY30 and 1 hour) and then take a taxi or just walk to Hongqiao Railway Station.

2 take subway line 2 to Hongqiao railway station directly.

The second way is cheap but takes much more time.

There are trains from Shanghai Railway station to Nanjing Railway station and also trains from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway station to Nanjing South Railway station. You can see here: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ by entering the departure and arrival cities. You need to decide which railway station you will depart from first.
