guestLiang Can you drive from Beijing to Chengdu (Sichuan)? If you can, how is the condition of the road? Does China have interstate freeway system like US?

GUEST360 The answer is no doubt Yes. China has built numerous interstate freeways. Guest, you haven't been to China? You seem to know little about China.

GUESTLIANG Thanks for the answer. Do you know any website that can educate me on the nationwide freeway link in China?

Guests, better check out further whether some territories especially those "autonomous regions" need a permit to drive across regions/provinces. I've experienced on a Shaanxi car being detained by the Tibetan Autonomous Region in Gansu Province on the way to Labrang Monastery.
