guestMLC177	I am looking for anyone to give some info/insight to Travel fromTaiyuan. going into Beijing. I have not been able to find to much on Ground Transportation. Trains, buses? Time Frames (travel time) or futher train/bus info. Also the info on approx cost of the train or bus. If someone has train routes or numbers that would be great. Will be traveling this summer and am having a hard time making plans for travel. INFO about "getting around" in taiyuan and the services available for local travel would also be appreciated

You can get to Beijing at first, and than go to Taiyuan, 6 hours by bus, 8 hours by train. Taiyuan is a famous city and JInsi is the famous touring place. Two days is enough to travel in Taiyuan, and then you can go to Pingyao which is an ancient City and is a well preserved ancient town 100 kilometers from Taiyuan. The most attractive sights in Pingyao are the city wall, civil residences, and streets and lanes.
