![]() | Come with cash not products as everything is cheaper here. You will have no problem buying suitable clothing, Shanghai is especially known for its fashion consciousness, though you will find some fashions are a little different. Attending uni it's normally jeans and Tshirt, with plenty of warm clothes in winter. If you are larger figured you will find it a bit harder to get clothes but in those two major cities you should be successful. One comment on fashion: deep cleavages are not in, but miniskirts are all the go and bellies are increasingly on display - in summer. As for the specifically girly things, I'll leave the girls to answer. |

![]() | If you're using tampons, those might not be too easy to get. I think I've only seen o.b. brand. So bring your own if you're picky. If there's anything you're particular about, bring them from home. Otherwise most of the stuff here will be cheaper so don't bother. |

![]() | I don't use mascara so I don't know about that. Toothpaste is available in a wide variety of prices and etc. If you're picky and don't mind the extra cost then you could always buy from the expat supermarkets which stock the foreign brands. But really, the better varieties of Colgate, Darlie and Crest are good enough for me. Bottled water differs in price and size. For a gallon bottle I usually pay 3.5-6 RMB. For a 550ml bottle it usually costs 0.8-2 RMB. |
