I am planning a work trip to China and have questions regarding translator service and transportation between 3 places. There are two choices for the trip, it will either be as follows:

Choice 1
Fly into Guangzhou (stay 3 nights)
Go to Hangzhou (stay 3 nights)
Day trips to Haining

or
Choice 2
Fly into Guangzhou (stay 3 nights)
Go to Haining (stay 3 nights)

I have not been able to locate much info on hotels in Haining. I am looking for advice on the following:
Hotels in all 3 locations
Transportation between the 3 locations (Do I fly from Guangzhou to Hangzhou? What type of transport is available between Hangzhou and Haining?)
Which trip sounds easier- is it better to stay in Hangzhou and travel daily to Haining?
Need translator service in all locations.

Thank you very much!

I haven't been to Haining, but I'm willing to bet that you'll be able to find hotels there.
When asking about accommodation it would be wise to indicate your expected price range, dates of stay and number of occupants.
There're 2 direct trains from Guangzhou to Haining: K528 (0800--0259, 18h59min) and K48 (1300--1053, 21h53min).
Hangzhou -- Haining is a pretty short train ride (around 1 hour or less, for most trains) and there're quite a number of departures. I'm sure there're also plenty of buses.

Thank you for your reply. At this point I am unsure the travel dates but I'm sure I will have many more questions as the plans are confirmed. Do you happen to know how much the train from Hangzhou to Haining costs in US dollars? Thanks again.

It depends on what kind of train and what kind of seat you take. It should be no more than 25 RMB, 1st-class on the best D trains.
Look on http://www.xe.com for official exchange rates. It's roughly 1 USD to 7 RMB.

GUEST28223 Dear friends,
Im visiting Hangzhou between 17-23.March after which I want to go to Guangzhou.

As far as I can see it s about 19hours ride? How much would the most comfortable seat cost?:) I wouldn t want hard seat and no 'soft seat with 5 beds' if possible.

what about an airplane? will prices go up because of the fair? can you give me a link to timetable and prices?

Feichang gangxie :)
