suggestions needed for planning my itinerary

I've 8 days to spare for Shenzhen, Shantou & Chaozhou. I don't want a hectic schedule but would also like to do some shopping. Please recommend how many days to spend for these places & what to visit. Would also like to know about the food not to be missed.
