| As far as I am concern, the listed things are all acceptable in the eyes of an open Chinese. Belly button piercing may leave a bad impression for the middle-aged Chinese who will be your professors and school authority. That's my one cent. |

| People in China aren't remarkably different from people in the US. The older generation might frown at unusually placed piercings and would show a greater appreciation for modesty, however the youth are, by and large, empowered, fashion conscious and prone to rebeilious behaviour. I do think, though, that everyone will just love the red hair. Particularly if it's a really vibrant red. |
