Starting Point of Individual Income Tax of PRC Raised to 2000 from Today on

News fron Xinhua News, the starting point of Individual income tax in China has been raised up from CNY 1,600 to CNY 2,000 from today (March 1st, 2008) on.

What about your ideas about this?

In the west, we call this tax relief. IMHO, it is a good idea, since the govt. will waste it anyway. The less they have access to, the better.

Good news! Well, I wish I pay the tax since my income will be above CNY 2,000.
