Products that are bought from dollar store in fact cost much more than their tag price. Pollution of eco-system and misusage of natural resourse should have been counted in production cost.

"Products that are bought from dollar store in fact cost much more than their tag price. Pollution of eco-system and misusage of natural resourse should have been counted in production cost." Amen to that! hehe! In fact, that has already been put forward in Canada; to place an index of energy or pollution (due to transportation and production) 'cost' on every price tag...and as you can imagine, the party forming the government found a thousand ways to relay this to later; to another governement in a few years...too hard to implement and oh so risky to make the economy change.. but at least people talked about it and might start to think twice before buying every little cheap disposable pollution bits and pieces...

The average person has adjusted to the higher cost of oil by quickly stopping or reducing unnecessary expenses. Already restaurants and vacation destinations have felt the decline in business. Charitable giving dropped too. Fixed expenses remain but the average consumer is giving more thought to discretionary spending. Here in New England, we have been thinking about the upcoming Winter months and the increased costs of home heating. It will be a serious matter when it gets colder. in preparation, people are looking for ways to save money even more now so bills can be paid months from now. Food costs have been slowly rising as well but not a lot.
