Meat balls with corn

Materials: minced pork (500 grams), minced spring scallion (1/2 tablespoon), minced caraway (1/2 tablespoon), corn seeds (50 grams) and 1 Yunnan Melon.

Marinade materials: 1/3 tablespoon salt, 1/3 tablespoon chicken powder, 1/2 tablespoon white sugar, 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 1 tablespoon soybean sauce, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons starch, 3 tablespoons water and 1/3 tablespoon sesame oil.

Step 1 Put minced pork in a big bowl, add 1/3 tablespoon salt, 1/3 tablespoon chicken powder, 1/2 tablespoon white sugar, 1 tablespoon cooking wine, 2 tablespoons starch, 1 tablespoon soybean sauce, some egg white and 3 tablespoons water and mix them well. Then stir the mixture clockwise.

Step 2 Add 1/3 tablespoon sesame oil, 1/2 tablespoon minced spring scallion and 1/2 tablespoon minced caraway and stir the mixture clockwise.

Step 3 Chop corn seeds and add them into minced pork and then stir them clockwise. Then marinade for 30 minutes.

Step 4 Cut the Yunnan melon into slices (each about 0.5 cm).

Step 5 Squeeze an adequate amount of minced pork into a ball which is as big as an egg. Then put it on the Yunnan melon slice and place a corn seed on the top. Repeat the steps to make all minced pork into balls.

Step 6 When the water is boiling, steam these meat balls with a plate for 15 minutes.
