Hey whats up,

I need a little advice on postfixes. For most of my life I have mainly stayed in an American crowd of people who I see in my everyday life. The last few years I have begun to transition into Chinese crowds where I would see the same people on certain days of my routine like errands or just seeing them because we happen to pass by each other on that certain day and time. My question is concerning postfixing names like 小兄弟 or 更老的兄弟 and 伯父. Such as, do I call people who are about my dads age 伯父?. Is there like a general age rule on what to call people? because I got this lady who calls me 小兄弟 when she is as old as my mom so I think I would have to call her 伯母 but since she calls me 伯母 should I call her 更老的姐妹? I just don't want to be rude and call them by something that doesn't fit.
