guest51078 I was wondering what the price would be for a bus ticket from Guangzhou to Kunming.

And, how long the trip would take.

1600 departure from Guangzhou Tianhe long-distance bus station, 1637 km, 330 RMB.
I'd rather do it by overnight train.

Yes train would be preferable

Just checked the train for you. It is quicker and the price is the same.

Yes. Go to a PSB office when you're almost at the end of your visa duration and ask for an extension. The extension will be for another 30 days starting from the date that the visa extension was issued. Prices vary for nationalities with US citizens being the most expensive at about 760 RMB.
