I have worked with this Chinese friend of mine and we became close, we chat on social media after working hours till late at night, things were really fine until the moment I had to stop work..I felt he didn't want me to leave because he said it though not directly.. I could feel he felt something more than just friendship with me and I was beginning to like him already but he never voice it out to me..am I wrong to have thought what I thought? And if am right what could possibly have stopped him?

Thought I'd contribute with my recent / ongoing experience. I'm a uk guy (40's still just!). I recently met a Chinese woman who I got on well with so exchanged numbers. As she travels and we've only been communicating through text messages I've been getting mixed messages. Having read on a few sites now that Chinese women are very polite (so don't put you so obviously straight as a uk woman would do), I am thinking now this is why I have been misconstruing the chats, she is just a very nice and polite woman and it is not a case of chase me - just another dumb bloke getting the wrong end of the stick! To quote Dick Emery - I think I got it wrong again, Dad! Lol!
