I plan on photographing the Guilin/Longshen areas in May with a very large format camera. Does anyone know the best way to get around? Bicycling is out of the question with the weight/bulk involved. Do they have Mopeds? Thanks alot for any advice.

HI!

Do you mean you want to travel alone?
My suggestion is that you hire a pedicab in the city. The local driver is familiar with the routes and can easily take you to the places you want to. You just look after your camera and take photos. That can be an interesting way to trace thecity and much more budget than automobiles.

Thanks for the advice. I may be travelling with another person as well. How large are the pedicabs and do you know the daily fees?
Thanks
