I'm curious muddieknees. Are you using a corporate proxy server? or one of the numerous anonymous proxies? I was wondering if any of the proxy ports like 8080 or 3128 were blocked to keep users in China out of youtube and God forbid the NY Times.

I was there last year and had no trouble getting to any web sites, despite the fact that people in the US were screaming "Censorship of the web by Chinese authorities!"

I'm staying at the venetian hotel in macau & would like to go to shenzhen ... is there any way that i can go straight to SHENZHEN without passing hongkong??

I would like to know the name of the border between hongkong & shenzhen because i want to go for shopping there is it (LOH WU)

Yes, go to the Macau-Gongbei (Zhuhai) border and take a bus to Shenzhen.
The name of the most popular border crossing between Hong Kong and Shenzhen is Lo Wu/Luohu.
