A Developemnt Research Institution of South Korea released a report based on a survey, showing that the degree of women is in inverse proportion to marriage rate. The higher women’s degree and income are, the lower the possibility of getting married.
The report suggests that the marriage rate of Korean women has continuously decreased since 1997. In 2005, 36.9% married women are under the age of 27; while in 1990, U-27 group account for 83.3% of the total population of married women. The report indicates that more and more Korean women get late marriage or keep bachelorism. Meanwhile, women’s degree and income has increased to a large extent over the years.
