"Lobbyists" are a special group of people in USA. It is said that tens of thousands of lobbyists have powerful influence on the US policy-making. The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee(AIPAC) is said to be one of the most powerful lobby group in USA.
It has a great influenc on US foreign policy, but how influential the AIPAC is?

Thank you, Garkinkade! I will read it through. I learnt Jewish people exerted strong influnce on the Capitol Hill. Do you know the reasons? In the Middle East Wars( can't remember which war), an Isreal lady flew to USA to ask for donation and support. She succeeded and the donation helped Isreal defeat Arabic countries. I wonder if it is only because Jews are very wealthy in USA that America tried to help them. Maybe, Jews are influntial in American economic field. I heard the CEO of Citigroup Inc. is a jew.

Of course the Jewish people suffered tremendously in Europe during Hitler's reign of power. The Holocaust cost the lives of 7+ (?) million Jewish and some other ethnic groups that were interred in the concentration (death camps). There is still considerable debate as to whether the allied powers could have stopped these killings much sooner than was done. Backing up a bit on this story, some of the Jewish people managed to immigrate to the U.S. before or in the early stages of Hitler's terror, and they brought their wealth with them (how many and how much, I don't know). And of course they went to other countries too that weren't under the influence of Nazism. Sorry, I'm getting carried away here.
Anyway, in my opinion, the Jewish people in their faith want their land back that was first historically established during the 12 tribes. (i.e.) there is a lot of conflict with the other peoples in that area and of course "follow the money" says they (Jewish) have heavy influence with U.S. politicians in regards to armaments and territorial issues. Whew, I probably stepped on a lot of feet on this one.
How many Jewish people have prominence in the U.S. , I have no idea.

The problem now is that if any one disagrees with the Jewish lobby they are branded as anti Semitic.
The survival of Israel has only been because of the support of the of other Jewish enclaves from around the World.
Do they have a strong voice in New York and Hollywood? I would say yes.
Dodger.

GUEST1045 After the Second World War, the issue of finding settlement for Jews worried the big powers. Europe, USA and Russia refused to accommodate Jews. Finally, they picked the troublesome Middle East. From that moment on, the bloody conflicts have never ceased.
