With Huawei's failure to acquire 3COM, more and more people start to questin about Chinese coporations' investment in US. In recent days, China Citic failed to buy the equivalent of a six percent stake in Bear Stearns. In earlier days, China National Investment Coporation' investment in Black Stone had been proved unsuccessfully. These three cases show that it is hard for Chinese coporations to go abroad for investment. The opponents argue that the time isn't ripe and Chinese coporations have a lot of things to learn before going abroad. However, the supporters say that the failure is due to US not these Chinese coporations. At the same time, they call on US to open its financial market fairly to Chinese coporations.

Confronted with this situation, these Chinese coporations have two choices. One is to go ahead and the other is to retreat? What do you think should Chinese coporations do, go ahead or retreat?

No pain, No gains. Chinese companies should learn some lessons from their failure. However, personally I think that US should be fair to China, not making excuses to refuse Chinese corporations.
