FRANKENSTEIN Points: Join Date: Nov 29, 2004 Status: offline	As the news report said, the Queen of Britain has cancelled a party to celebrate her diamond wedding anniversary because she thought that it would be inappropriate to hold a luxurious celebration when the country is on the brink of recession. Last Nov. 20th was the Queen's 60th anniversary and the party was originally to be held in last Nov. However, the Queen was visiting a Commonwealth conference in Uganda at the time. Before the day of her 60th anniversary, the Queen made her grateful address on Nov. 19th. According to the news, the Northern Rock bank has collapsed due to a liability to the taxpayer running into tens of billions of pounds. At the same time, energy companies have announced double-digit increases in bills, while the Bank of England has warned that its scope to cut interest rates is limited by a rise in inflation.
