Hi all
Anybody know Zigong and how far it is from Chengdu and how long it takes to get there and how much and how much to stay there,
sounds quite good ,there is a salt museum and dinosaur museum there as well

Chengdu/ Zigong, I suggest you to travel by train, the journey is 258kms long, need a 5-hour train travel.

Two days in Zigong: One day to visit the Salt Museum and the Dinosaur Museum, another for free strooling there to experience the local life.

Zigong is in the south of Sichuan province, about 250km away from Chengdu.
It will take you 5 hours by train, the hard seat ticket is about 30yuan.

Chengdu-Zigong by bus: Take a bus at Chengdu Bus Terminal, the trip is 242kms, buses departs every half an hour from 9:30am to 15:00pm.
