 | hi all, i am new to this forum and visiting guangzhou from 15th april during canton fair. i have 2 questions and hope some learned member will help me. 1. does baiyun airport has a prepaid taxi stand from where i can take a prepaid one or do i have to bargain with taxi people? 2. what places i can go in guangzhou for good nightlife ? does GZ have someplaces like like stripclubs/liveshows ? |

| I am not aware of a pre paid taxi stand at Bai Yun, but you can certainly get a metered taxi, so no need to bargain. The driver will charge you an extra 1 Yuan to what is shown on the meter - this is legitimate, and is for a fuel surcharge. Not sure about strip clubs (not my kind of thing), but there are many night clubs around. Get the subway to Haizhu Square, and from there walk west. You will pass many seedy places! There are a coulple more expensive ones 2 blocks south of the Garden Hotel. One is called The cellar, and the other is right opposite. |
