looking to make first trip to china

I'm looking to hopefully make my first trip to china. I'm looking to go in december because i would like to spend my 30th birthday there and i'm looking to go to Lhasa.
what is the wheather there like. And i've tried to find a flight into there but i'm having troubles so is there another city that i should fly into and then find a way to travel to Lhasa? Thanks any info would be great

Yes, you need to most probably fly to Beijing and then to Lhasa via Chengdu. I don't know what else to suggest to you since you haven't provided any information at all about where you have to start your trip from.

GUEST37043 i went in feb, and most stuff was closed, due to winter weather. if you are looking to see tibet, and leave lhasa, you should prob go in the spring or summer, a lot of drivers dont work during the winter season. and, honestly due to the recent things going on there, i doubt its the best year to go right now, but then again, you want to go in dec, so it should be ok by then.
