Recently, I have read several articles stating that divorce are somewhat related to gene. “A 1995 study found that 50 percent of the risk of divorce is genetically determined. Does this mean success and fulfillment in social life are inherited?”

The researchers say genetics enter into marriage because of the way that certain inherited temperaments cause trouble in relationships. Researchers at Boston University further conclude that gene affects marriage through the inherited behavior. For instance, if the father in a family is alcoholic, his son is highly likely to become a drunkard, too, even though the kid has the desire to resist alcohol when he was a little kid. (Here the assumption is that indulging in alcohol leads to the broken marriage of the last generation). The son will also be prone to alcohol when he grew up, and likewise alcohol will cause divorce of the next generation. Do you believe there is a divorce gene?

OH PLEASE!!!!!

It is very simple: male mammals are rarely monogamous, they are designed to sow their seed.

Society created a structure that needed a stable family and harmony between families for the benefit of survival. This brought rise to marriage and monogamy.

The social structure has changed dramatically since the 1960s. Women no longer need men to have babies and survive. As a result, infidelity has become the norm in much of the world. Infidelity leads to divorce.

It has nothing to do with genetic make up.

GUESTEXOTIC Some people have reasons for divorce i'm sure but why do most people even use "for better or for worse" in their wedding vows if they have no intentions of honoring that statement?
