“What kind of girls would you like to marry?” “Beautiful and gentle”. That is the most frequent question and answer when men talk about their future partener. Why do men always attach great importance to the outer apperance of women? Men have been so critical about women’s look. On the contrary, they are so lenient about their own appearance. Most men rarely trim themselves. Their excuses are varied: it’s a waste of time. Men should be manly. ( Does trim yourself indicate that you are not masculine?) The worse situation is that some men become impatient when their women are making up carefully. Living on the same planet, why do men set different standards for themselves and women? Shouldn’t men care about their own appearances?

That's because standards are different for men and women. Men should make money and provide for their future family. Looks are not the most important thing -- what counts more is that they love their wife a lot and are responsible for their family. I think it's fair to want a beautiful wife, because good looks indicate good genes and fertility. It might not be totally fair, but generally speaking outward appearance is an indicator of youth and health and fitness to be a mother.
