 | Pele and Maradona? What's interesting about these two great players are they have a few things in common. They were born in the same month and are from South America. Pele was born on 10/23/40 and Maradona on 10/30/60, same zodiac sign. They both won their last World Cup Championships in the same country, Mexico. Pele won in 1970 and Maradona won in 1986. It was during the 1970 World Cup in Mexico Maradona said he wanted to be like Pele. He was 10 years old at the time. This is one of the reasons why he also wore the number 10. They both played in four World Cups. Pele - 1958, 1962, 1966 & 1970 and Maradona - 1982, 1986, 1990 & 1994. What makes Pele better? Check it: (1) Pele scored in two World Cup finals - 1958 (2 goals) and 1970 (1 goal), making him one of only 4 players to achieved this. Maradona never scored in a final. (2) Pele won three World Cup championships - 1958, 1962 & 1970. Maradona won only once in 1986 and last but not least and most importantly (3) Pele is the youngest player to score in a final and World Cup. He was 17 years and 249 days in 1958. Maradona and the world should show some respect for the Great Black Pearl, Pele. |

| GUESTJAYJ | ARROWSHIFI - must be english or brazilian Maradona has been voted by the people as the greatest player, would of been the youngest player in the WC if it wasn't for the 1978 argentinian national coach, played in a high level league where scoring is much tougher, Won the WC on his own even took a very weak argentina to the final and only lost out to a penalty, scored greatest goal ever, Maradona never scored in the a final but created the killer pass in the 86, voted by Zidane,Robinho,Ronaldinho,Kaka,Baggio, even the english players the greatest as matter of fact Mike Tyson even told Pele shut it Maradona is the best because he used his chest. El Diego an inspiration to every footballer now and since. Oh yes Maradona did cheat (hand of God) but so did Pele he broke two players legs intentionally and even Elbowed another because he outclass him - look it up |

| I prefer none of them because they don't look handsome  . And my friend, a passionate soccer fan, told me that Pele was a doomsayer. He never predicts a match correctly. Every time he predicts the winner, the winner-to-be will lose the game. Maradona was once a gifted football player. However, he has committed a series of serious mistakes. He is not a good example. I think that I need to tell you what kind of football players I prefer. Just like David Beckham, he must look good. Then he should play welll and have no bad habits or scandals. |

| Charlott, you are a typical female soccer fan. David Beckham is indeed handsome and also plays football well. But there is only one David Beckham in the world. We can not expect all football players look attractive and play football well. There are some footballers who don't look good but they play better. Don't know if you've heard this before-"我很丑，但是我很温柔(I am ugly but I am gentle)". "We are ugly but we play football very well" ---unattractive football players. |
