Attractive cultural sites in China?

Right now my plan is: Start from Qingdao --> Beijing: to see the Great Wall, Forbidden City, etc --> Xian: the Terracotta Army --> Guilin: traditional Chinese landscape (???) --> Shanghai: I'm not sure if there is any cultural site there --> Qingdao. Is there any other attractive sites beween those cities? If possible, I really want to go to all the must-visit-sites in China this time because I may not go there again. By the way, I am still a student and travel alone (I'm an Asian girl) so could you please teach me a budget and safe plan to travel? Thanks!
