Also, if you are from a country not on the list and you apply in HK or macau, you will be given a 7-day visa only andyou have to show the following: 1. financial statement or show US$700 2. foreigners are required to show the hotel reservation during the period of travelling in China 3. a flight booking of leaving China is also necessary in order to prove their schedule of departure |

![]() | Yes you can apply in HK, but right now they won't give you a very long visa. You don't mention what kind of visa you are needing? If it is an L visa, then maybe you can only get 7 days or 1 month. It varies for different nationalities. |

![]() | To Guest83130 As Apault mentioned, Malaysia is on the list whose citizens can NOT apply for China visas in HK. It seems you have to go back to Malaysia to re-apply for a China visa. |
