| 1.Go to the PSB and ask for an extension to see more of China is always a good excuse, they should allow you to apply for a new visa, whatever you do, don't overstay or you could be subjected to a fine, (up to 500RMB per day) and refusal for future visas. 2Go to HK and re-appy, (if applicable) other than that you'll need to go home and simply re-apply. If it is meant to be, he'll wait and it will happen. True love never runs smoothly :) Good Luck! |

| There is no such thing as an extension. You must apply for a new visa. In the past you could expect a 30 day visa. After that just a 7 day visa. At this time regulations have been tighetened, apparantly for the Olympic games. It seems you will NOT be able to get a visa from Hong Kong at the moment as the Philipines is one of 33 countries barred from this facility. The reports I have seen say thaty ou must apply from your own country (and it seems the duration will be shorter than before). I have not read that there are any new restrictions on applying from within China - but who knows?? !! You should go to the PSB and ask. REMEMBER: any new visa runs from the date of issue, not the date the old one expires. So you can lose some days if you go to soon. If you apply on the last valid day, the same rule applies BUT there will be an extra few days for the period while they process your application. I don't know what they do not want to grant a new visa. My guess (based on an experience in Shanghai) is that they will grant you a 7 day visa. Please pots your experiences in TCG so we all learn from it. |
