Republican Presidential candidate John McCain is said to a rebellious guy. In 2000, he failed in the republican presidential candidates’ nomination campaign. It was because he dissented with the mainstream of Repulicans on many political issues. This time, McCain adjusted his policies and landed the republican candidate for presidentical election. After he succeeded, he got less attention than his democractic counterparts Hillary and Obama. In order to catch media’s attention, John McCain launched a “Serivice to America” biography tour. He revealed that he had been a captive in Vietnam War for five and a half years. His life as a captive might have some influence on his rebellious personality.

Obviously, John McCain benefited a lot from his service in the Vietnam War. It was a character-building experience. Bush also attended the Vietnam War. Bush beat McCain because his father was an "ex-president".
