A 30-year-old man, who migrated into Jiaonan City in Shandong province in April, 2006, was prosecuted by the local public security bureau the day before yesterday. He was charged of stealing. The man came to Jiaonan city with his wife in 2006. His wife had to take care of their children so that she did not have a job. The whole family had to live on his limited income of 1000 RMB per month. They had a hard living. He began trying to find out new ways to make extra money. One day in August 2006, he burgled a local resident near his home, stealing 3000 RMB. He found it was a safe shortcut to make a fortune and resigned from his work. The man knew that his wife hated “theft” most. So he cheated on his wife. He left home for “ work” as usual and came back home late and pretended to be very tired. He told his wife that he worked extra time. Every month he gave the money he stole to his wife when it was the payday. Sometimes, he gave his “call-back pay” to his wife. His wife thought he worked very and praised him in public. He was a “Model husband” in his wife’s eyes. Bad luck for him; he was caught when he was burgling on March 2 this year. What do you think of him? Is he a “Model husband”?

The man is a thief. I don't know the punishment in China, but were I king it would be hanging. He fooled his wife and stole her face.

He might be a "loving husband" to his wife, but far from a positive model husband. Money is tempting. The desire for wealth is understandable, but should he try to obtain it through shady means? His wife has no fault.

Sure, he is a model. A model of a father who fed his children using stolen money. O_o
