Can I get a taxi from Xitang (or Jiashan) to Pudong airport, and what will the approximate cost be? thank you

Possible, but expensive.
What time is your flight out? How many of you are there and how much luggage do you have?
I would suggest that you consider going to Jiaxing, and then picking up an airport shuttle from there.

Flight out is at 15:55, and I would like to be at the check-in desk at least 2 hours beforehand (and two people).

If you want to be there by 1355, I think taking the 1000 departure from Jiaxing would be timely.

Where does the airport shuttle actually leave from, and how often does it run, please?

They depart from Jiaxing's West long-distance bus station at 0730, 1000, 1330 and 1540. The 1000 departure should be the right one for you to catch your flight.

No, they're not. Jiashan is smaller than Jiaxing; Jiashan is nearer to Xitang.

yes, Jiaxing is what I want, I should not have said (Jiashan) in my first post
