GUEST16132 Thank you for your pictures. As a Californian I am so worried about "our" California Pandas. We know that Mei Sheng is safe, but we're not hearing anything about Hua Mei and her three pairs of twins. I hope we find out soon.
I am so impressed with the Chinese people and how they're helping each other out. I am so impressed with their resilence. I've been to China and found them to be that friendliest people.

GUEST21168 Any news on the lost pandas. Are steps being taken to find them. Do we know the identity of those three lost pandas. Were any of the pandas injred. Were the staff that were killed any people from San Diego Zoo or major people in running the reserve. The pandas have been moved to a safe location, but what are the immediate plans to help with their care and safety. Since they are an endangered species and part of a major effort in China, I know they are not humans, but such effort has gone into preserving them and this was such a major area for doing that that we hope for the safety and well being of all there as they deal with this - people and pandas and for some news about what is happening there.

Those pandas have been transferred to Shawan area. At present, they are all safe. But pandas there face food crisis. It is said that a panda needs to eat 10 to 18 kilos bamboo. Although Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research center has prepared 2500 kios bamboo, 2000 kilos bamboo shoots, 100 kilos maize-bread, 1000 kilos apple, 200 kilos milk powder for the pandas, those foods only can last for one week.

Picture: The staff there try to teach the pandas to have porridge.
